Reds Take Down Cardinals, 4-3

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Cincinnati Reds got the win.
Cincinnati beat St. Louis on the strength of starter Nick Lodolo's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Ricky Karcher finished the game for Cincinnati and earned his 4th save.
Cincinnati took a 4-2 lead on Nick Senzel's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Senzel hit in the top of the tenth, left St. Louis pitcher Giovanny Gallegos visibly frustrated.
"It was a test of wills," said Jimmy Reds, the Cincinnati skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
After today's action, Cincinnati sits at 57-79; St. Louis slips to 80-56.
