Reds Lose By a Run at Milwaukee, 4-3
|
Milwaukee picked up a win at American Family Field, bumping off the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3. Pitcher Adrian Houser was a major reason the Brewers emerged victorious. Houser got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 4 over 7.2 innings. Houser allowed 3 runs. The 'W' lifts Milwaukee's record to 74-56.
Had Dominic Fletcher not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Fletcher hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Brewers.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Cincinnati manager Jimmy Reds, "let me know."
