Late Magic Gets Philadelphia 8-5 Win
The 8-5 Philadelphia win over San Francisco was due largely to Trea Turner. The Phillies shortstop was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Philadelphia reliever Seranthony Dominguez picked up the win to move to 1-2. Alex Cobb suffered the loss. Jose Alvarado got credit for the save for Philadelphia. It was his 8th of the year.

Garrett Stubbs took Alex Cobb deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Phillies on top, 6-5. In all, Stubbs had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I try to not think too much," said Turner.

Philadelphia now sits at 20-18, while San Francisco falls to 17-21.
