Boston Takes League Championship Series in Deciding Game
The joy and relief on the faces of the Boston 49ers players was obvious as they celebrated their League Championship Series win over the Tallahassee Panthers.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Boston third baseman Benjamin Sems, shortly after the 8-0 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the World Series.

Sems won series MVP honors on the strength of his .382 batting average during the series. He also had a .432 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Boston 49ers will play against the Vancouver Skyliners in the next round. Vancouver won their series against the Portland Celtics 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
