Rangers Win, Now 80-69
|
The Texas Rangers weathered an outstanding game by Houston third baseman Alex Bregman to topple the Astros, 4-3. Bregman went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Joe Barlow snagged the win in relief. In 1.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 8-2 on the season. With the win, Texas upped its record to 80-69.
In the bottom of the sixth, Texas second baseman Marcus Semien gave his team the lead. With no one out and a runner on 2nd, Sauce hit his 31st home run of the year. Houston pitcher Brandon Bielak surrendered it. With that, the Rangers jumped in front, 4-3.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Semien told the Texas Today.
