Rangers Earn 6-5 Win Against Guardians
|
The Texas Rangers and Cleveland Guardians put on quite a show.
Cleveland third baseman Jose Ramirez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ramirez went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times, even as Texas beat the Guardians, 6-5. Josh Sborz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Daniel Espino was tagged with the loss. The save went to Brock Burke, number 30 for him.
Texas needed the clutch hitting of Adolis García to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rangers on top, 6-5. For the game, García had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said García.
Texas has a 3-game win streak, while Cleveland has lost 3 in a row.
