The Yankees grabbed a win, 6-4, at Globe Life Field, overcoming a fine effort from Texas pitcher Jon Gray. Gray went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. New York is now 72-60, while Texas is 73-59.

New York took the lead with one out in the top of the ninth when Giancarlo Stanton stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 6-4 in favor of New York. For the day, Stanton was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Stanton said.
