Rangers Fall to .500 After 3-2 Loss to Royals
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers, pitcher Kohl Stewart was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kansas City right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Royals win. The winning pitcher was Stewart, now 3-4. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Kansas City currently is in 13th place in the American Division at 29-42.
In the bottom of the second, Kansas City center fielder Kyle Isbel had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Isbel stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 2-0, Kansas City. For the game, he went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"I really like what we did out there today," Stewart said after the game.
