Athletics Snatch Late Win
|
The Oakland Athletics picked up a win at T-Mobile Park, taking down the Seattle Mariners, 4-2. Starting pitcher JP Sears was a big reason why. Gunnar Hoglund earned his 2nd save in 3 tries. The setback makes Seattle 81-77.
Denzel Clarke came through with a big-time hit for Oakland. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Clarke.
