Daredevils Heading to Championship Series
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones were simply overmatched by the Niagara Daredevils in the Seminfinals.
The end result was a sweep, as Niagara has cruised to the Championship Series, with the final win coming at MCU Park by a score of 6-1.
"We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Josh Newsom, who was named MVP of the Seminfinals. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this."
For the series, Newsom hit .385 with a .385 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Niagara Daredevils don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Burlington Royals - Aberdeen Ironbirds series. Aberdeen leads the series 2 games to 0. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Seminfinals finishes.
