Indianapolis Takes Round 1
The Indianapolis Indians clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Buffalo Bisons room was filled with despair and sadness after the Round 1 concluded.

"Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Sam Hurley, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance.

Indianapolis won the final game by a 4-2 count at Sahlen Field and the series 3-1.

Buffalo manager Rafael Gil was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series.

"They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said.

For the series, Hurley hit .438 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Indianapolis Indians will play against the Scranton WB RailRiders in the next round. Scranton WB won their series against the Gwinnett Stripers 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
