Round 1 Goes the Distance, Syracuse Prevails
Depending on your loyalties, the Round 1 was either thrilling or heartbreaking.

The series went down to its final game, with the Syracuse Mets and the Louisville Bats giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Mets came out on top, winning 4-3 at NBT Bank Stadium today to take the series 3-2.

"We're lucky to be going into the Round 2," said Syracuse pitcher Edgardo Rodriguez. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."

Rodriguez earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .353 average, with 1 home runs, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored.

The Syracuse Mets will play against the Durham Bulls in the next round. Durham won their series against the Gwinnett Stripers 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
