Richmond Crowned Champions
The Richmond Flying Squirrels were good enough to get past the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at The Diamond today and secure the 4th championship in franchise history.

"When you wear Flying Squirrels on your shirt, you're good at something," Richmond skipper Tom Kramer told the press.

Flying Squirrels center fielder Elijah Nunez was named MVP of the series after he went .353 with 1 home run and 4 runs batted in.

"It feels totally incredible," Nunez said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment."

The new champions capped off a great season with a 13-6 victory over the Fisher Cats to win the Round 1 3-1.
