Biscuits Advance to Round 2
After their 6-5 win today at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium over the Biloxi Shuckers, the Montgomery Biscuits will advance to the Round 2. Montgomery won the series by a 3-1 margin.

Leading the way for the Biscuits was closer Jim Esparza, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Montgomery Biscuits don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Jackson Generals - Rocket City Trash Pandas series. Rocket City leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
