SL2 Names Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Thursday, April 1st , 2032 It was a glorious year for Donal Kerse of the Oxnard Velocity. He finished the season with 14 victories and only 3 losses, with an impressive 1.75 ERA. The talented Velocity pitcher started 17 games and struck out 122 batters in 139 innings and won the Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Kerse said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jimmy McMahon of the Paradise Bighorns finished second in voting, while Randy Vasquez of the North Vandergrift-Pleasant View Fisher Cats finished third.
