Year Ends for David Barajas in Akron
Wednesday, May 24th , 2028
The doctors have spoken and David Barajas of the Akron RubberDucks didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Barajas sustained his season-ending injury during the Harrisburg Senators game yesterday at Canal Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Akron medical staff reported Barajas had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.
Looking at his season stats, Barajas has won 6 and lost 2, collecting 40 strikeouts and 16 walks in 57.2 innings with a 2.03 ERA.
