The season is finished for Keisuke Kimura of the Kyoto HS Jays. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Jays reliever suffered ulnar nerve entrapment while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kurashiki HS Swamp Foxes. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal.
Kimura has taken the mound for 18 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 3.46 ERA. The Kyoto HS reliever has limited opposing batters to a .271 batting average.
