Waterbury HS Takes Round 2 Saturday, August 21st , 2038 Waterbury HS Peach Kings players, coaches and personnel swarmed the field at Peach Kings Ballpark tonight after the club posted a 5-4 triumph over the New Rochelle HS Monkeys in the Round 2. "We're not where we want to be yet, but any time you can survive a one-game elimination, you're feeling good," said Jon Coffman, who had 3 hits in 4 at bats to pace his team's offence. The club will look to continue playing strong in the Round 3. "There's no reason this team can't go all the way, and everyone in this clubhouse believes that," said Coffman. The Round 3 matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
