De Andrade Sizzles -- Smokes Flying Squirrels for 5 Hits
Danny De Andrade was at the head of a Binghamton hit parade today at NYSEG Stadium. The third baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Rumble Ponies to a 17-0 victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging De Andrade told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Flying Squirrels skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Danny De Andrade singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dominic Hamel in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Henry Williams in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jake Brooks in the 7th.

So far this season, De Andrade has recorded a .322 batting average with 88 hits, 17 home runs, 46 RBIs, 57 runs scored and a .425 OBP.
