Dodgers Clip Cubs, 4-3
|
Brooklyn Dodgers starter James Paxton was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Chicago Cubs, 4-3. Brooklyn reliever Layonel Ovalles picked up the win, while Aaron Bummer took the loss for Chicago. The Dodgers now have a record of 63-85 with the win over Chicago.
Jordan Beck was the walk-off hero for Brooklyn. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dodgers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place sure got loud," said Mike Dodgers, the Brooklyn manager.
