In a tight game between the Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers, pitcher Tobias Myers was terrific on the mound. The Minnesota right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The first-place Twins, at 91-56, now lead their division by 3½ games.
Alfredo Correa drove in one run for Minnesota. The slugging first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tanner Bibee. It was his 88th RBI of the season.
"First place," said Twins manager Ryan Donaldson. "This is right where we want to be."
