Cruz Hits 2 home runs in Rockies Win
Getting a good performance from third baseman Oneil Cruz, the Colorado Rockies defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-5. Cruz went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Rockies. Camilo Doval recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 25 for 30. Colorado improves to 90-56 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.

Colorado took a 8-5 lead on Jack Suwinski's 25th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Suwinski hit in the bottom of the eighth, left St. Louis pitcher Dario Gardea visibly frustrated.

"I still think this team can play even better," Cruz told the Colorado Citizen.
