Yankees Deal Indians 5-1 Loss
|
Pitcher Chase Petty was rock solid in helping the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians, 5-1. The win elevated the Yankees to 76-69.
Gleyber Torres, the 29-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Torres contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put New York up, 3-0.
"Chase is tough when he's hitting his spots," said New York manager Andy Yankees.
