Casares Helps Houston Bombard Seattle
The first-place Houston Colt .45's took on the Seattle Mariners in front of a spirited crowd.

The Houston Colt .45's marched over the Seattle Mariners, 17-4, at Minute Maid Park. Ernesto Casares, who finished 3rd in the AL in extra base hits with 70 in 2029, led the charge. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Colt .45's have a winning streak of 4 games.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Casares hit a 3-run home run off Caleb Logerwell. It propelled the Colt .45's into the lead, 4-1.

Seattle manager Devin Pogue said: "We'll put this one in the trash can and get ready for the next game."
