Reds Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win
|
Freddery Paulino propelled his team to victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. The final score was 4-3, Cincinnati. Cincinnati reliever Jason Foley was the winner. His record is now 8-4. Aaron Bummer took the loss. The Reds now have a record of 74-61 with the win over St. Louis.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Cincinnati second baseman Marcus Semien, facing Aaron Bummer, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Reds the 4-3 win.
"We had a good game plan," Paulino said, "and we were able to execute it."
