The Chicago White Sox trumped the Minnesota Twins, 5-1, at Target Field. Chicago catcher Drew Romo was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Dashawn McCurty. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-1. The victory gives Chicago a record of 70-57.

Ryan Clifford, the 25-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Clifford contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Chicago up, 2-1.
