Las Vegas Gets 8-3 Win Against Rangers
|
Las Vegas designated hitter Yandy Diaz made his presence felt in the 8-3 Aces triumph over the Texas Rangers. Diaz was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Aidan Keenan, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 5-9. The loss makes Texas 64-59.
Wander Franco went 1-3 with a walk for Las Vegas. The four-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Jonathan Stiever. It was his 146th hit of the season.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Las Vegas manager Kris Smith.
