With shortstop Danyer Cueva leading the charge, the New York Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox, 12-7, at Fenway Park. Cueva hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. New York is now 58-47, Boston 51-55.

New York used a clutch hit from Alan Parker to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Parker. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
