Braves Earn 4-3 Home Win
|
Starting pitcher Humberto Castellanos pitched well enough to help the Atlanta Braves beat the Oklahoma City Red Hawks, 4-3. Cody Stashak got the save, his 21st in 22 chances. The Braves sport a record of 40-61.
Jake Meyers had a big 2-run triple for the Braves in the bottom of the third inning. With Atlanta leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Jackson Kowar, who led the NL in wins with 17 in 2027, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Braves ahead, 4-0.
"Humberto is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Atlanta manager TJ Smith.
