Giants Get Past Milwaukee for 6-5 Win
|
The San Francisco Giants grabbed a win, 6-5, over the Milwaukee Brewers at Oracle Park. San Francisco first baseman Yordan Alvarez was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. San Francisco reliever Brandon Pfaadt picked up the win, upping his record to 5-6. Junior Castillo shouldered the loss. With the win, the Giants improved to 46-47.
Chas McCormick was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This joint was rocking," said McCormick.
