Rangers Deck White Sox, 10-1
|
Texas right fielder George Springer made his presence felt in the 10-1 Rangers triumph over the Chicago White Sox. Springer went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brett Kerry got the win, improving to 7-5. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The Rangers now have a mark of 35-47.
Pete Crow-Armstrong was a prime factor in the win for the Rangers. In the bottom of the fourth with no one out, the slick-fielding center fielder hit a run-scoring triple. He went 2 for 4 with a triple and was hit by a pitch.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Springer told the Texas Chronicle.
