Mariners Tagged with 4-1 Loss
|
Texas starter Steven Echavarria put a stranglehold on the Seattle offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Rangers to a 4-1 win. The Rangers, at 42-45, inhabit second place in the American League AL West.
Texas took a 4-1 lead on Leonardo Balcazar's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Balcazar hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher Ron Marinaccio visibly frustrated.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Balcazar.
