6-5 White Sox Win over Expos Evens Season Record
|
The performance of Bo Bichette proved critical in helping Chicago beat Montreal, 6-5. The White Sox second baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Chris Sopko. He's now 7-5. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits for the White Sox. Earning his 17th save of the year was Matt Brash.
Chicago used the bat of Gilberto Celestino to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the White Sox ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bichette said.
With the win, the White Sox have a record of 35-35.
