The Pittsburgh Pirates did just enough to secure a victory over the San Diego Padres, 4-3, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Logan Allen. Allen got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Allen allowed 1 run. Pittsburgh occupies 7th place in the National League East Division at 26-31.

Pittsburgh relied on the hitting of Brett Wisely to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pirates on top, 3-1. For the game, Wisely had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
