Houston right-hander Norge Vera pitched his team to victory over the Seattle Mariners at Minute Maid Park. The final score was 2-1. Vera went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-3. Houston now owns a record of 26-27.
