Brewers Dominate, Sweep Round 2
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Dominican Rookie League Round 2. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers swept aside the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals to advance to the Round 3, winning the final game by a 11-4 score at Tower Complex.

The series MVP was third baseman Chris Goins, who hit .556 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies - Detroit (DSL) Tigers series. Philadelphia (DSL) leads the series 1 game to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
