Leonard Delivers Walk-Off Win for Orioles
|
The Houston Astros got a superb performance from pitcher Norge Vera. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Baltimore. The Orioles won the game, 4-2. Vera threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. At 27-22, the Orioles find themselves in third place in the American League AL East.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Baltimore trailing 2-1, Eddys Leonard jumped on a full count fastball from Luis Perales for a 3-run home run, sending the Orioles to a walk-off win.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Leonard said.
