Red Hawks Drop Phillies, 3-2
|
Oklahoma City Red Hawks starter Luis Castillo turned in a sterling performance against the Philadelphia Phillies, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Castillo went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-4. Oklahoma City now owns a record of 22-19.
The Red Hawks got a big at-bat from right fielder Chris Coetzee. For the game, Coetzee was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Oklahoma City a 2-1 lead.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Philadelphia manager Brian Abdilla.
