A jubilant Tim Jordan joined the postgame press conference at Isotopes Yard to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Albuquerque Isotopes pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Columbus Clippers first baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 29-3 Clippers win.

"He made it look easy," said David Garcia, manager of the Isotopes. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Tim Jordan hit a GRAND SLAM off A.J. Simmons in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bryan Rothe in the 9th.

So far this year, Jordan is batting .583 with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs.
