Cubs Red Move on to Round 2 Saturday, August 31st , 2024 The Chicago N (DSL) Cubs Red proved to be too much to handle for the San Francisco (DSL) Giants Orange in the Round 1, and a sweep was the end result. Chicago N (DSL) punched its ticket to the Round 2 on the strength of a 9-6 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0. Chicago N (DSL) second baseman Francisco Acuna, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed San Francisco (DSL) pitching to the tune of a .647 average, with a .700 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Chicago N (DSL) Cubs Red don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers Mega - Baltimore (DSL) Orioles Black series. Baltimore (DSL) leads the series 2 games to 1.
