Hobson Gets 4-Game Suspension Saturday, June 8th , 2024 Los Angeles N (ACL)'s Caleb Hobson made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Padres yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Hobson violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 4-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Hobson told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." This season, Hobson is batting .286 with no home runs. He has scored 2 runs and driven in 1. |
