League KO's Shorebirds-Mudcats Players with 4-Game Suspensions Sunday, September 10th , 2028 During a recent Delmarva-Carolina game at Five County Stadium, AJ Ewing of the Shorebirds and Yojanser Caldera of the Mudcats got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 4-game suspensions because of their actions. This year, Ewing is hitting .276 with 56 hits, 4 home runs, 24 RBIs and has scored 37 runs. To this point in the season Caldera has 17 saves in 41 relief appearances with a 3-2 record and 2.64 ERA. |
