3 Bombs for Kyle McCann Wednesday, May 1st , 2024 Fans are still buzzing after Peoria whipped the Cedar Rapids Kernels by the score of 15-4 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Kyle McCann smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, McCann said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," McCann said. "Three is just... wow." Kyle McCann hit a solo-shot off Jesus Tillero in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jose Gutierrez in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Baltazar Arredondo in the 9th. So far this season, McCann has 3 home runs and a .286 batting average. |
