3 Boomers for De Andrade Wednesday, June 12th , 2024 Quad Cities River Bandits shortstop Danny De Andrade left the Beloit pitching staff in ruins at Modern Woodmen Park, beating the Sky Carp, 14-3, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," De Andrade told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Quad Cities shortstop had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 8 and scored 3 runs. Danny De Andrade hit a three-run home run off Jerson Alejandro in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Noah Takacs in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Andy Maldonado in the 6th and singled in the 8th. De Andrade is batting at a .297 pace this season, picking up 33 hits in 111 at-bats with 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
