Wilmington Loses Peyton Glavine for Season
Sunday, June 2nd , 2024
The doctors have spoken and Peyton Glavine of the Wilmington Blue Rocks didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Glavine sustained his season-ending injury during the Bowling Green Hot Rods game yesterday at Bowling Green Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Wilmington medical staff reported Glavine had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.

This season, he has made 7 relief appearances with no saves. In 3.2 innings Glavine has chalked up 2 strikeouts while posting a 0-0 record and a 12.27 ERA
