Everything came together at the plate for the 19-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and helped the Dust Devils triumph, 4-3, at Gesa Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Ruiz said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Jorge Ruiz singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and singled in the 15th. Ruiz has a .265 average and a .380 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 41 hits, 4 home runs and driven in 14 runs. |
