Waldron Takes Charge, Blanks Round Rock, 8-0 Monday, June 17th , 2024 Matt Waldron kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Sacramento River Cats were all smiles after winning, 8-0, against the Round Rock Express at Sutter Health Park. The right-handed Waldron gave up no runs in his start, permitted 7 hits, and tallied 5 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Waldron said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." On the year, Waldron has compiled a 2-4 mark with a 5.13 ERA. |
