The Rochester Red Wings stopped the Scranton WB RailRiders by a score of 18-0 at Frontier Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Elehuris Montero. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Montero said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Montero did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the RailRiders.

"Not much that I can say," offered Scranton WB manager Shelley Duncan. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Elehuris Montero doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th and doubled in the 7th.

This year, Montero is hitting .328 with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs in 16 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .397 with 5 walks and 10 runs scored.
