Delgado Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Raynel Delgado was at the head of a Brooklyn hit parade at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The second baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Cyclones to a nice 22-1 victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Delgado told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Blue Rocks skipper Mario Lisson said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Raynel Delgado hit a solo-shot off Ben Hess in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 6th.

Currently Delgado is batting .317 with 97 hits and 20 home runs. He has knocked in 59 runs and scored 74 times.
