Phillips Batters Sacramento for 5 Hits
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Brett Phillips is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Sacramento River Cats at Dell Diamond. The monster effort from the 30-year-old center fielder helped the Round Rock Express get the win, 7-2.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said River Cats manager Dave Brundage. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Brett Phillips singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This season, Phillips has posted a batting average of .220 with 27 hits in 123 at-bats, 3 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has also scored 21 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .315 OBP.
